Notices for Construction of Steel Bellows
1. Combine temporary drainage with design drainage system to keep site drainage facilities open and avoid water accumulation and erosion of slope.
_2. Drainage measures in foundation pits should be taken to prevent bubbles and water-carrying operations should be strictly prohibited.
_3. Slot length and construction period should be shortened as far as possible, so as to achieve fast grooving and backfilling. Once the bubbles occur, the water should be removed in time, the soft soil should be removed, the sand and stone should be replaced, and the foundation treatment should be done well.
_4. Measures should be taken to prevent pipe floating. It can be backfilled to the height above the top of the pipe which is more than twice the diameter of the pipe. When the pipeline is not returned to the soil after installation, once it encounters bubbles, the elevation of the central pipeline and the bottom of the pipeline should be re-measured and inspected. If displacement, floatation and pull-out occur, the pipeline should be reworked.
5. Anti-icing measures should be taken. Simple thermal insulation materials such as straw curtains and quilts can be laid on the bottom of the groove.
In addition, for the projects with high groundwater level, such as coastal cities, the steel belt bellows should take more measures to reduce the water level, set drainage ditches and catchment wells at the bottom of the trough, and do a good job of reducing the water level at the bottom of the trough.
